Thanksgiving is an American holiday, but its universal themes of family love and togetherness resonate across cultures. I hope that this weekend, you can take a break from the fast pace of life, and, in the quiet moments, enjoy life's simple pleasures.
This large-mouth bass is a character in my first children's book published in 2002. Her name is Madame Mossback. She can outsmart any fisherman. Note for experienced fishermen: one angler is "cheating" by using bait & a spinner together. He is desperate!
A few years ago, I did this pastel painting of this "watery trail:" the Intracoastal Waterway off the NC Coast. I love the IW, and those who are fortunate enough to have spent time boating on it know how it can draw you into its magic.
